In 1988, a press reporter asked Swamishri, "What is that symbol (referring to the murti of Thakorji) you always take with you?"
 "It is not a symbol; it is God Himself. We don't take it with us but it remains with us wherever we go."

To us, the murti of Thakorji merely appears to be a small statue made of metal. But in it, Swamishri sees God.
