Jai Swaminarayan One of the prasang of Pramukh Swami Mahraj that is inspiring me is 7/7/1998 Bap's bypass surgery On that day the operation time was 12:00 but swami said we do it at 3:00. So bapa did jot even care about his life. When he was going to the operation theatre dr. Trivedi asked that what did you say we do operation at 3:00. At that time bapa said" thakorji no aram bagde etle apre operation 3:00vage rakhyu". So after the operation on next day Dr. Nilesh came for artierial puncture and bapa was taking with yogicharan swami but bapa's face rekha did not change so it did not pain for bapa. So that is inspiring me that never feel pain.

One prasang that inspires me to do the best bhakti I can is one that took place in London. Once, it was Pramukh Swami Maharaj's birthday. All of the Haribhakto's have made a birthday cake for swami Bapa. Swamishree was pleased but told the haribhakto's to offer the cake to Maharaj first. One Hari bhakta had said: "Swami Bapa we have already offered the cake to Harikrishna Maharaj. Now please eat some ". Bapa realized that the cake was not cut. He asked the Hari bhakta again: " How did you possibly offer the cake when it is not even cut? How will god eat it whole? Please offer it again ". On listening to Bapa's response everyone was delighted to see how much bhakti Bapa was willing to offer. In the same way, we should always think one step ahead and think about how we can do more bhakti then what we are doing right now.

Jai swaminarayan, A prasang of Pramukh Swami Maharaj that inspires me the most is about his firmness in Niyamdharma. When Pramukh swami Maharaj was young his name was Shantilal and he used to live in Chansad with his parents. There was a man named Chhotabhai, who was fond of children and used to give them toys and food etc. Once he arranged big feast for all children. Shantilal went there with his friends. All children were so excited to eat all delicious food. However Shantilal refused to eat as there was a day of ekadashi and non of the food were suitable to eat in ekadashi. All the people who gathered there tried to force him to eat. Shantilal started crying, so Chhotabhai has arranged special penda for Shantilal to eat.

There is a small village called Odarka in the Saurashtra region. Odarka was known as the home of the infamous Ramsang Bapu (Ramsinhji Takhatsinhji Gohil). He was a skilled fighter and thief. He didn’t bother stealing from people or businesses, Ramsang Bapu terrorized villages! He was so good at what he did that Bhupat, a nationally feared gangster, offered a partnership. Bhupat had told Ramsang Bapu that with you on my side, I can rattle the national government. He offered half his profits to Ramsang Bapu, but Ramsingh Bapu was not interested in such high profile action. Describing his original nature, he would say, “If you had seen me before, you would have thought I was Ravan and Kansa’s brother! I was destined to die a very painful and humiliating death, but Pramukh Swami Maharaj changed my life.” Swamishri visited his house in Odarka and talked to him about the repercussions of violence, theft and hurting others. Ramsang Bapu followed Swamishri’s wish and started to live a morally pure life, giving up his vices and violent ways. Ramsang Bapu was no longer a thug or gangster. Pramukh Swami Maharaj had made him a devotee. His transformation helped the entire region sleep better at night. For the rest of his days, Ramsang Bapu lived a pious life based on the codes of satsang. On 13 October 1997, Swamishri promised Ramsang Bapu that Bhagwan Swaminarayan would take him to Akshardham very soon. In just 13 days, Ramsang Bapu breathed his last while telling his son Janaksinh, “Bhagwan Swaminarayan and Pramukh Swami Maharaj have come to take me. I am going...” Changing obvious misfits in society is common, but there is a type of transformation Swamishri brings about that is not as obvious. Swamishri’s divine aishvaraya has helped people rid themselves of anger, lust, greed and arrogance...

I remember A prasang of Prumukh Swami Mahraj of when he was giving kanthies to children he did not know that one of them was a girl. The very next day when Prumukh Swami Maharaj found out that it was a girl he fasted just to stay firm in his Niyams. Moral: We should be firm in our niyams just like Pramukh Swami Mahraj.

Jay Swaminarayan, There is my really Heart-touched smruti with pramukh swami once when I was 8 years old I was cycling with my friend and suddenly a huge truck came to our side I was going to trapped in it but suddenly I thought of something and I felt like pramukh swami is helping me and there was a pit and I sat down to that pit and I was saved!! I remember when pramukh swami use to help the poor people when he saw them and also I heard a story that a boy was really sick and Pramukh swami went walking because the car broke down to the half way to the hospital and they were also digging up the ground but swamiji did not mind it he still went to see the boy by walking half way.

An incident took in the late 1971 in dharmaj, a village in Gujrat. This marked the 51st birthday of pramukh swami maharaj. In fact it was the first birthday celebration after he became the guru. It lasted for a period of 11 days. The last and the main day arrived. It marked the 51st birthday of pramukh swami maharaj. That morning, swami bapa got up and started brushing his teeth. He noticed used datan's lying around before him. He got up and gathered the used datans and put them into the dustbin. Wow!! Little seva on a big day. How nice is our guru. The smruti I really like about bapa and mahant swami maharaj is when they do puja they are so concentrated on their puja. They listen to the things that balaks are saying and other hari bhatos. Some balaks say full vachanamruts and some say some Swamini Vato which are quite hard and they have to memorise. When they feed the prasad to the maharaj he looks at them so concentrated that it acutely looks like they are eating with their heart. When their puja is finished they read the Vachanamrut and Swamini Vato and they read it so carefully that they don’t even think of looking up to the hari bhaktos. Which sometimes makes me feel that we should do puja so concentrated so that bhagwan actually comes in our puja and that they actually give ashirvad.

I remember when Pramukh Swami Mahraj was in sarangpur and he wanted to see a very sick kid named Prasant. The person which I like about him is-One day there was Sheero in lunch, by mistake Salt was added in the place of sugar, Pramukh Swami Maharaj ate it quietly but when santos sat down to eat they found the sheero salty. The Santo Asked Bapa that why didn’t you speak that this sheero containing lots of salt and not sugar?. Bapa replied “ Thakorji ate the Sheero then why can’t I. This prasang inspires me the most. I can see it clearly that Pramukh Swami Maharaj is a true guru. Jai Swaminarayan.

He inspired so many people, made 1000 sadhus, wrote 700000 letters, visited 100000 houses, solved so many obstacles that to by all himself alone. Such was the work of our guru. Every prasang about Pramukh Swami Maharaj is special in its own way, however, my favourite prasangs relate to his bhida-bhakti and dasbhavpanu. Prasangs include the time he did vicharan is India's scorching hot summer with a burning fever. Also, how he has managed to write and reply to thousands of letters and visit hundreds of villages/town just for his hari-bhaktos, without the slightest care for his body. Jai Swaminarayan
