During Yogiji Maharaj's time, being in a blissful mood was a very hard thing to do. The Akshar-Purushottam philosophy was considered wrong. However, Yogi Bapa managed to keep himself happy because of his tolerance, and his preachings of samp, suradhbhav, and ekta. Also, if these wouldn't keep Yogiji Maharaj content, then teaching the bal mandal would. Yogi Bapa would teach the balaks various mukhpath, and kirtans so they could sing them and be in a joyous mood themselves. Lastly, if the balaks weren't there, or there wasn't anybody to preach to, Yogiji Maharaj would sit quietly in a corner and memorize a lot of mukhpath. Friends, these were the various things that kept Yogi Bapa's jubilant smile radiant across his face. Therefore, we should try to these things out and see the miracle of happiness unfold.

Whenever I look at Yogiji Maharaj in all the pictures and videos I always see him smiling! I read the Yogi Gita everyday in my pooja, he has so much tolerance and respect. Reason#1 He loved everyone.He didn't have any complaint against anyone. Reason#2 He always wanted the best for everyone.His phrase was, "Bhagwan Sau Nu Bhalu Karo." Which means,"May Shreeji Maharaj Bless everyone." He loved EVERYONE and wanted Maharaj to bless everyone. Reason#3 He wanted others to smile with him. He didn't want people to be depressed. He wanted people to give up their Maya,which means, Worldly Attachments. There are many reasons why Yogiji Maharaj was always in a blissful mood. One of the reasons is that he always did seva and he had fun doing it. Whenever he would do seva he would sing kirtans. Another reason why he was always in a blissful mood, is because he believed that god resided in every person's heart, so he would always look at that person as being divine. Furthermore, yogiji Maharaj never found faults in anyone, and he always said that "I am das no das" or servant of a servant. He would always smile even though if someone had said something about him. One time when Yogiji Maharaj was going to take a bath, a false sadhu scolded him, but yogiji Maharaj took his bath quietly and left. Later on that sadhu came to Sarangpur mandir and asked if he could stay. The guard called Yogiji Maharaj and told him about the sadhu. Yogiji Maharaj came and served the sadhu with food and gave him a bed to sleep in. The next day Yogiji Maharaj ordered a bullock cart for the sadhu so that he could go where he needed to. The sadhu felt guilty for talking bad about such a ekantik sant and fell at the feet of Yogiji Maharaj.

During the time period of Yogiji Maharaj, there were no computers or electornics. They had to live there lives in a more difficult way then we do today. Most of us get really excited or happy over little posessions, but Yogiji Maharaj needed none of that! All he needed to be in a blissful and happy mood was Maharaj by his side. He knew that everything was going to be alright and he had no worries because of his worship toward Bhagwan! As majority of you know, Yogi bapa got yelled at, made fun of, tortured, etc., but that didnt stop him. Also, balaks and balikas are what brought his mood up. He loved children and would always protect them and care for them. All the pictures you usually see of yogi bapa are all pictures of him similing!!!!

Yogiji Maharaj was very tolerant of other people's actions. He used to never yell at people or fight with them even they did something to them. Another reason is that Yogi Bapa loved kids like us. He would be spending so much time with kids that he would never see the need to stop smiling. Yogi Bapa also smiled because balaks would do mukhpath and present it in front of him. One last reason why Yogi Bapa always smiled was because he was so seva bhaavi. Yogi Bapa would do so much seva to keep the mandir clean and would blissfully sing bhajans while doing it.
