NORTHEAST REGIONAL BAL MANDAL OUTING
3-5 June 2005, Hershey Park

During the weekend of June 3, 2005, a Northeast Regional Bal Mandal Outing took place at Hershey Park with the santos. During this event, around 550 balaks gathered from centers as north as Maine and as south as Washington D.C. On June 3rd, balaks gathered at their local centers and left in the early morning to reach Hershey Park. On June 4th, balaks spent a full day at the park and enjoyed the thrill and adventures of wild roller coasters, riveting water rides, and exciting games. All balaks, young and old, were able to enjoy the park because it offered a variety of rides.
On June 5th, balaks took an interesting tour on a ride through Hershey’s Chocolate Factory and Hershey’s Museum of Chocolate to briefly learn about the history of chocolate and the process by which Hershey makes its sweet chocolate. Afterwards, balaks enjoyed a spectacular 20 minute 3D Show presented by Hershey which had all sorts of special effects, including strobe lights, sounds, rain, bubbles, and confetti. After this action-packed weekend, balaks returned back to their local centers.
