Rajipano Vichar
Dear Subscriber,
If we think about it, everything we do is to bring happiness in our own lives.
What if everything we did was to bring everlasting happiness to OTHER peoples’ lives? Do you know anyone who does this? Of course you do. Our guru, Pramukh Swami Maharaj, lives only for the benefits of his devotees. He does everything for us. Take, for example, his visit to America during the summer of 2014. At age 94, Swamishri wished to travel over 8,000 miles to give all of his haribhakto in America his divine darshan.
In order to thank him appropriately for everything he has done, we should strive to do what he wants. Our guru only wants what is best for us, so by following his wishes – his agnas - we are pleasing our Guru. By pleasing Swamishri, we can fulfill what Gunatitanand Swami says to be our purpose in this life: “Aapde to Akshardham ma javu chhe, evo ek sankalp rahkvo.” Gunatitianand Swami stresses that our only wish and goal should be to go to Akshardham. But what are the little steps we should take in order to achieve Akshardham, our ultimate goal?
In the Vachnamrut, Shriji Maharaj says that one who pleases the God-realized sadhu, the Satpurush, is guaranteed a spot in Akshardham. So to earn a spot in Akshardham, we must think of what will please the God-realized sadhu, Swamishri. This thought of what makes Swamishri happy is called rajipano vichar. By doing rajipano vichar more often, all of our thoughts and all of our actions become motivated by his rajipo.
Guntitanand Swami says our only goal in life should be to attain Akshardham, and Shriji Maharaj says that to attain Akshardham we must first please the Satpurush – Swamishri. How can we please Swamishri? We can please Swamishri by asking ourselves before every action, “Will this make Maharaj and Swami happy?” Doing this more and more often will help us ensure we attain Maharaj and Swami’s rajipo and ultimately attain Akshardham.
Sincerely,
Jay Swaminarayan from the ‘kids.baps.org’ team
