    Study Hard, Study Smart

Study Hard, Study Smart

At school, we learn so many things about so many different topics! Sometimes it can become difficult and we may find ourselves stressed about having to learn so many things at once. That’s why good study habits are important. Applying the correct methods that work best for us can help us improve in our studies.

Can you think of any study habits that can help you become a better learner?

Some good study habits are to have a agenda that you can fill out your homework so you can get it done in time. Another good study habit is having all your materials ready to go. Like when you have to do homework you should have everything with you like your pencils and computer.

Be quiet. Don't have side conversations. Don't ignore the teacher when she is speaking. Ask questions when you need more help. Listen carefully. Never scream in class!

There are many ways to study. You can create a schedule for the day and follow it to make your day easier and more organised. It can get rid of the stress of what you're going to study next and be able to make the study more relaxed and easy. Studying can be hard sometimes when you have a bunch of load on you, but when creating a schedule can take double the stress off your mind. Jai swaminarayan

Study Habits are a great way to overcome anxiety, stress, and tension. A few study habits that have helped me go through the rough patches in the past include note-taking. By writing down notes in a way to summarise and conclude the topic/subject/lesson on a single page helped enhance my memory, as all that I needed to do was revise. Note-taking is also a great way in order to briefly summarise the topic. Another strategy is by exercising or playing (something that requires brain or physical movement), by using this it increases our blood circulation and outlines a faster way for the human brain to think. An alternative to exercising is peer collaboration. This technique involves us talking or explaining something we haven’t fully understood to someone/something in order to self test and prepare us for the next test. Lastly, avoiding distractions is a great way I learn as I turn on - Do Not Disturb - FOCUS (an apple accessibility tool) to stop emails, and distractions from ruining my learning. - Note Taking - Exercising - Peer Collaboration - Avoiding Distractions
