    Satsang in Our Everyday Lives

Satsang in Our Everyday Lives

Every weekend, we have the opportunity to come to mandir. This is a time when we immerse ourselves in satsang through darshan of the murtis, bal/balika sabha, and language classes. However, this is only one day of the week. The rest of the week, we are focused on everything else until the weekend rolls around again.

How can we ensure that our satsang remains strong outside of mandir, too? And how can we make satsang a part of our everyday lives?

Jai swaminaryan, one way we can ensure our satsang remains strong outside of mandir is that we can do daily vanchan and listen to katha vartas.

Jay Swaminarayan. Going to Mandir is a time where we immerse ourselves with Bhagwan. From the time where we do darshan, to the time we leave mandir, we always learn something new. One thing that you should do is seva, even if it is as little as picking up a piece of paper. Being in 8th grade, I know how hard it is to do all these things in mandir while keeping up with school. How can we find a way to balance school, friends, family, and mandir?

To keep the spirit of satsang alive outside the mandir, we need to intentionally incorporate spiritual practices into our daily lives. Start each day with morning prayers or meditation and reflect on your experiences in the evening. Engage our family in spiritual discussions and form small satsang circles for shared growth. Use social media wisely for spiritual insights and explore online learning resources. Lastly, practice mindfulness, celebrate rituals at home, and perform daily acts of kindness to enhance your spiritual journey.

We can make sure that there is satsang outside the mandirs by doing puja regularly, offering thaal to bhagwan and a lot more!! But the best way I find to do it is by reading bal prakash which gives us a direct message from param pujya mahant Swami Maharaj. With all the activities and stories in it, it becomes super exciting!

I think that we can stay strong outside of mandir by having good company and friends, this way , if everyone around you is supportive of your niyams , it is so much easier to keep them compared to having a kusangi friend that will peer pressure you into eating meat or breaking your niyams.

When I want to do satsang out of mandir I always start with my ahniks. Your ahniks are niyams that Swamishri gives. Then I also do Gharsabha everyday or at least once in a week with my family. Doing Satsang outside of mandir really strengthens your faith in Bhagwan.
