    "Face-to-Face" Debate Competition

More than 30 students from 10 schools participated in the "Face-to-Face" debate competition organized by ‘The School Post’. The competition was held on 14 November 2009 at the R3 Mall in Memnagar, Ahmedabad.

In the semi-final round the topics for the debate were:

(1)    Should there be government TV censorship.

(2)    In today's world are women at par with men.

The children had to speak for and against the topics, and from the participating students, five students of BAPS Swaminarayan Vidya Mandir, Raisan qualified for the final.

In the final, the students were required to speak instantly on "Are savings necessary in student life." All the children spoke confidently.

The School Post Trophy award for Best Team was awarded to BAPS Swaminarayan Vidya Mandir, Raisan, and the Best Speaker award was won by Darshan V. Patel (a Std. 9 student) of BAPS Swaminarayan Vidya Mandir, Raisan.
