On 28th September 2010, a grand science exhibition “Vigyan Mela” was held at Sahajanand Gurukul School situated at koteshwar. Around 58 schools of Gandhinagar District participated in the event. There were 5 main topics on which the presentations were to be made:

- Conservation of Biodiversity |
- Technology in Agriculture |
- Technology in Transport & Communication |
- Community Health & Welfare |
Students from various schools activity participated and made their respective presentations.
Students of BAPS SVM – Chitrath Modi and Deep Savaliya both of Std.9th represented the school in the exhibition. Their topic of presentation was “Green Energy” under the subtopic “Harnessing Geothermal & Hydro energy”. The model prepared by these students was the centre of attraction for the visitors. In their presentation they highlighted about the use of eco-friendly source of energy in alternate to the conventional ones.
The presentation of the projects was done so well that they earned the praises of students and teachers of other schools. The presentation was a huge success & now it has been selected for the district level competition. We now look forward for the success of the same.
Lastly, the contribution of other students of Std. IX & X who made their earnest efforts in making this project a success is noteworthy.
