By the inspiration of HDH Param Pujaya Pramukh Swami Maharaj a ‘Virat Bal Samelan’ was organized during the Murti Pratishtha of BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir at Olpad in Surat.

About 91 Bal Mandals have been actively working under seven divisions of Olpad zone. Due to the preplanning of children, volunteers and saints, the program was successfully held on 4-6-2011, wherein different activities like dance, drama, and discourses took place. The head of Surat mandir, Pujya Ghanshayamcharan Swami alongwith the sadhus of Ahmedabad Bal Pravrutti Karyalay had visited the Samelan. They had provided knowledge along with fun to the children in the Samelan. After completion of the program of 4 hours, the children had the ‘Prasad’ and all of them had joined in the Cultural Rally. The rich cultural heritage of India was exhibited in eight well decorated tractors In the Cultural Rally. The rally passed through almost all the residential areas of Olpad. About 1400 boys and 700 girls, along with all the Bal–Balika volunteers joined the rally. The program had proved to be a great success by the selfless efforts of Pujya Shrijidarshan Swami and Pujya Gyannilay Swami with the cooperation of the volunteers of BAPS Sanstha.
