As a part of the decennial celebrations of the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Kalol, Gujarat, a grand Children’s Day was organized. More than 6,500 people including specially invited children from the Kalol Ankit Vidyalay, Joyful School, and the Holy Child School watched as 100 children from the BAPS Kalol Bal Mandal presented a programme describing the past, present, and future of BAPS Bal Mandals. Through kirtans, speeches, dramas, and dances they presented the lessons they had learned in the bal mandal and the variety of social causes they had taken part in. The programme even included a 90 member reproduction of anti-addiction rally. Along with what they had done so far, the children also expressed their hopes for what they would do in the years to come. Senior sadhus including P. Keshavjivandas Swami (Mahant Swami), P. Swayamprakashdas Swami (Doctor Swami), and P. Ishwarcharan Swami blessed the event either in person or through video messages. The parents and elders were encouraged by the children’s enthusiasm and skill throughout the performance and everyone was reminded once again of the positive impact BAPS’s Children’s Activities have on the lives individual children as well as society as a whole.
