Vadodara, Gujarat, December 25, 2014– The children of BAPS Vadodara Bal Mandal decided to honour Shastriji Maharaj in this special Sardhshatabdi year in a unique way. On 25 December 2014, 280 children between the ages of 8 and 15 and 50 volunteers took part in a special cycle yatra from Atladara – one of five mandirs built by Shastriji Maharaj – to Mahelav, his birth place.
The cycle yatra began at 8:30 am and was inaugurated by the head sadhu of the mandir, P. Bhagyasetu Swami as well as esteemed guests, including the State of Gujarat’s Labour Minister Hon. Mr. Vijay Rupani.
The children cycled under supervision through many of the Sanstha’s special pilgrim places and ultimately reached Mahelav at 5:45 PM. Snacks, drinks, meals and rest time was organized throughout the route to assure the children were happily and healthily offer their devotion to guru Shastrij Maharaj.
