'I, Atma'
Bal - Balika Shibir
Banglore, India
25 - 26 June 2016

Around 60 balaks and balikas attended the first-ever Bal Shibir in Bangalore. The theme “I, Atma” (I am Atma and not this Body), was effectively presented in a way that the children could understand. This eternal and essential concept was explained by highlighting five characteristics of the atma: Powerful, Intelligent, Pure, Eternal and Happy. The children were also told that the Satpurush is our atma.

On the second day the children presented what they had learnt by drawing and sketching, writing and enacting skits and preparing and conducting quizzes. The presentations were very creative and effective, showing that they had understood the concept.

During the shibir Pujya Mahant Swami, Pujya Dr. Swami and Pujya Ishwarcharan Swami showered their blessings on the children by addressing them over the phone.

Overall, the children were inspired by the messages of the shibir and it helped to further strengthen their practice of satsang in daily life.
