Bal- Balika Shibir in Auckland
9 April 2012
New Zealand

Every week, thousands of children gather in Satsang centres around the world for Bal-Balika Sabha and other children’s activities.  Whether they are in India, the UK, USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand, these bal-balikas are like one family, under Pramukh Swami Maharaj.

To understand just what it means to be one family, over 120 bal-balikas gathered in Auckland, New Zealand, on 9 April 2012 for a shibir themed “BAPS Ek Parivar”.

The children were fortunate enough to have Pujya Tyagvallabh Swami speak to them about niyam-dharma and share some prasangs he experienced with Yogiji Maharaj and Pramukh Swami Maharaj.  Other sadhus led interactive sessions and conducted group activities on topics such as niyam (observing rules), nischay (keeping faith) and paksh (having loyalty).

On this occasion PujyaTyagvallabh Swami performed the ground - breaking ceremony of a new playground for children. The new park, named “Ghanshyam Playground”, will be created next to the Pramukh Swami Youth Centre in the mandir campus.
