20 May 2012
Australia

Brisbane is a major city in Australia, famous for its sports, agriculture and tropical weather.  On Sunday 20 May, BAPS Bal Mandal in Brisbane celebrated Yogi Jayanti by holding a special cultural programme.

Children aged between 3 and 14 presented various dramas, speeches and dances on bal sanskar as promoted by Yogiji Maharaj, who started BAPS Bal Mandal, and Pramukh Swami Maharaj, who continues to inspire the children’s activities today.

The audience of over 500 devotees and guests included Randeep Agrawal – vice-president of the India Australia Business Council, Julie Patel – project manager at the Queensland Planning Services Division, as well as many new families.  All were impressed by the performances of the talented young children, and the amount of effort by volunteers that went into planning the event.

Following the programme, many guests vowed to regularly attend the Sunday sabha, whilst others took with them the message of spending more time together as a family.
