Auckland, New Zealand

BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Auckland, New Zealand held its first ever National Bal-BalikaShibir for balaks and balikas aged 6-13. Children from all around the Auckland area including Wellington participated in this shibir. A totalof 96 participants took part in this shibir held in the presence ofJnanpurush Swami andAdarshmuni Swami. This year’s shibir was based around the theme of ‘Rajipo’. During the course of the action packed day, children got to learn about what rajipois and how we can earnSwamishri’srajipo. Through various presentations the balaks learnt that rajipo was truly pleasing our guru. Sadhus spoke on “How to Keep Swamishri’sRajipo” with an analogy of a string and a kite. They explained that the string was niyams and the kite was a representation of Swamishri. It was then explained that even though we are not touching the kite physically, we have control through the string attached to it. Similarly if we follow niyams we will be able to keep hold of Swamishri and attain his rajipo. This was followed by two breakout sessions. Throughout the sessions the children learnt how Prahlad, Dhruv and Shravan earned rajipo in their lives. The shibir was a great hit amongst the children.
