Bal Parayan Cultural Programme
29 September 2013
Sydney, Australia

Once a year, every year, Ravi Sabha at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Sydney becomes one huge Bal Sabha. This year on 29 September 2013, young performers just 3 to 13 years of age presented a grand cultural programme, ‘Sahajanand Charitra’.

The two-hour programme featured over 70 young singers, budding speakers, dancing toddlers and talented actors who all delivered flawless performances on the life and work of Bhagwan Swaminarayan. The evening also featured a bal parayan, as part of Chaturmas, through which the audience learnt of the social work and divine miracles performed by Bhagwan Swaminarayan.

Adarshmuni Swami, who oversees Bal-Kishore-Yuvak Mandal activities in the Asia Pacific region, thanked the balaks, their parents and BAPS volunteers who made the cultural programme possible. In his address, Jnanpurush Swami spoke about BAPS Children’s activities, and how they serve to preserve and promote Indian culture in young people throughout Australia.

Having seen the efforts of the young performers, all were left impressed with how the inspirer of these activities, Pramukh Swami Maharaj can instil such talent and values in children of today.
