More than 1,000 balaks and balikas from throughout Australia and New Zealand participated in this online Bal-Balika Shibir based on the theme ‘Akshara Guru Yogena’ which elaborated upon the Ashray Diksha Mantra given by Mahant Swami Maharaj on the auspicious day of Shri Hari Jayanti in 2019.

The shibir helped to strengthen the attachment (jodan) of the balaks and balikas with our beloved gurus Param Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj and Param Pujya Mahant Swami Maharaj.

Through sessions presented by swamis, hands-on activities, video call breakout discussions led by local karyakars, and other activities, the children were taken on a journey through which they understood and appreciated the importance and role of a guru in their daily life. Furthermore, the participants learnt more about the selfless life, unconditional love for all and profound work of Pramukh Swami Maharaj.

As part of Pramukh Swami Maharaj's Centenary Celebrations, the children pledged to live by the teachings given by Swamishri, such as, daily personal satsang and regular participation in their ghar sabhas.
