    India Trip
An Unforgettable Spiritual Experience
July - August 2008, UK

The summer of 2008 was an unforgettable spiritual experience for 20 balaks and 20 balikas from the United Kingdom, who participated in the yatra to India that was themed ‘Apni Parampara’. The theme of the yatra was to introduce the children to their glorious Satsang heritage and ancestry in India, by taking them through a spiritual journey to the major BAPS centres in India, the tirth sthaans of the Swaminarayan Sampraday and the birthplace of Shriji Maharaj and the Gunatatit Parampara.
The 4 weeks spent travelling and seeing India was a huge success, as the participants got to experience everything that India has to offer, from the bustling metropolis’ to the rural life in India’s villages – the children got to see different sides of India’s glorious world. Alongside travelling through Gujarat and north India, the children also spent six days with Pramukh Swami Maharaj in Bochasan and Vallabh Vidyanagar, where they were able to celebrate the festival of Raksha Bandhan. The children were very fortunate to be able to get the extremely rare chance to sit through an eclipse assembly  with Swami Bapa from 1am-4am! This truly was the most unforgettable time spent with Swamishri for the participants.
In conclusion, the four weeks spent in India by the balaks and balikas along with their sanchalaks and sanchalikas was such a success that the lifetime of happy  memories accumulated, will leave them spiritually recharged each time they remember them.
