    Bal - Balika Parayans – 2010

‘Chaturmas’ (The Rainy season) is called a sacred period. BAPS bal-balikas showed their devotion to Maharaj- Swami and Pujya Swami Bapa by organizing Bal-Balika Parayan (discourse) in various mandals. The parayan lasted from one to three days.

As per the instructions of “Bal Pravuti Madhyastha Karyalay” (Children’s Activity Guidance centre) “Nilkanth Charitra” was staged in each mandal. It consisted of debates, one-act plays to provide guidance to kids.

Before the beginning of the parayan “Pothi Yatra” was organized which consisted of dhun, prayer and the chanting of mantras. The bal-balikas also enacted the role of child devotees like Prahlad, Dhruv, Shravan and Narada.

As part of the three-day program the bal-balikas organized hindola, arti, drawing contests for self-improvement. On the last day there was Annkut where 80 to 100 items were presented in Thakorji’s thal.

The balaks of Bhavnagar delivered discourses in Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s morning puja. In other centers sadguru santos, Kothari swami and the sadhus connected with children’s activities inspired the kids by participating in the functions.

  • More than 4000 Bal Balika Mandals organized Bal Parayan.
